Joseph A. Ford is the founder and president of FIP and its affiliates. Joe has an extensive background in real estate and business development. He founded Ford Realty Group more than 20 years ago and has increased its size through acquisition, redevelopment, and ground-up development. Eventually, he established FIP, and it has been a successful sponsor with the previous Ford Properties Group Net Leased Portfolio III Fund (REG D PPM), never missing a quarterly distribution since the fund's inception in 2009.
Prior to forming Ford Realty Group, Joe was an entrepreneur who owned and operated a number of businesses, including a medical practice management company, a medical rehabilitation clinic, a fast food restaurant, as well as wholesale and retail beverage distribution outlets. Joe was also formerly a publicly elected county commissioner of Washington County, Pennsylvania. He served two elected terms and was chairman of the county commission for three years.
As a former county commissioner, Joe supervised approximately 1,500 employees, negotiated with seven different labor unions, and had direct responsibility for a multi-million-dollar budget. Joe has also served on the board of directors for a number of local charitable organizations and as a frequent speaker at the chamber of commerce and business forums.
